Burnaby, BC – October 15, 2024—Destination Auto Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Dean Rideout as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). With an extensive and diverse background in automotive sales, operations, and financial management, Mr. Rideout draws on a wealth of experience that will support the group’s future growth.

With over 25 years in the auto industry, Mr. Rideout has held various corporate roles with Ford Motor Company, Mazda Canada and Mercedes Benz Canada, as well as senior leadership roles with large automotive retail groups, through which he has developed expertise in cultivating high-performance teams, and excellence in customer service, sales and operations.

Mr. Rideout’s appointment comes at a pivotal time, as the Canadian automotive industry undergoes rapid transformation due to advances in technology, shifting consumer preferences, and increasing demand for electric vehicles. His deep understanding of both operational and financial dynamics, combined with his proven track record of success will support the Company’s core value of providing the absolute best automotive sales and service experience to customers across the Lower Mainland. Mr. Rideout completed his BA from Acadia University and Automotive Dealership Management degree at Georgian College.
