The Canadian Automobile Dealers Association (“CADA”) has announced that Adil Ahamed, Managing Director of Destination Auto Group, is a recipient of the prestigious CADA Laureate Award for 2022 in the Business Innovation category; for initiatives that significantly enhance performance or broaden the scope of business for new car and truck dealers.
According to the CADA Newsline, Tim Reuss, President and CEO, CADA noted that the 2022 Award winners “exemplified outstanding generosity, ingenuity and intelligent business practices that have earned them this recognition as leaders in the auto industry in Canada.”
“I was deeply humbled to receive the news,” commented Mr. Ahamed after receiving a telephone call from Peter Heppner, Chairman of CADA. “This is a tremendous recognition that I share with every one of our Associates at Destination Auto Group. I warmly congratulate all the other winners this year and feel extremely honored to be part of this esteemed group of national Laureates.”
Mr. Ahamed joins his father, Aziz Ahamed, Founder and President of Destination Auto Group, who won the Laureate award for Innovation in 2019.
The CADA Laureate Award is the most exclusive recognition a dealer can receive over the course of their career. Only three individuals are recognized annually among more than 3,200 new car and truck dealers across Canada each year, across in the categories of Ambassadorship, Business Innovation and Retail Operations. The winners were selected through a rigorous three-stage process by the Ivey Business School of Western University in London, ON.
